Front Gangs For Different Environments

The GS41 Series includes front notched disc blades for aggressive tillage or cutting seed openings (standard on the Hunting and Conservation Package) and front spiked rollers for creating seed pockets or uprooting existing stands (standard on the Landscaping Package).

Standard Spiked Drive Roller

Standard equipment on the GS41, the spiked drive roller has 1.75-in. (4.4-cm) case-hardened spikes that will crush clods, push down seeds, and dimple soil to trap moisture.

Cast Iron Trailing Cultipacker

To expedite germination, the in-base rear cast-iron trailing cultipacker levels and breaks up soil clods. Pressing the seed into the soil for improved seed-to-soil contact, it firms the seed bed, and creates furrows to trap and channel water with the notched ribs.
