Easy Operation With Integrated Operator Presence Bail and Traction Clutch

The operator presence bail is dual function, not only stopping the machine when releasing the bail, but also engaging the clutch and initiating machine forward movement when pulled leftward and pushed forward against the handlebar. In fact, all controls on Deere walk greens mowers move forward to initiate movement, including PTO and throttle engagement and park brake disengagement. This simple, consistent control design enhances ease of use for operators.

Engine Gear Reduction System Maintains Frequency of Clip (FOC) Regardless of Throttle Position

All SL PrecisionCut™ Walk Greens Mowers feature an engine gear reduction linked to a gear box that drives both the traction drum and the reel. As engine throttle increases or decreases, this gear reduction design increases or decreases the traction drum and reel speed in the same ratio, maintaining a consistent frequency of clip. This helps ensure that operators of different experience levels and walking at different speeds have the exact same quality of cut regardless of throttle position.

10-position, Fore / Aft Adjustable Handlebar Customizes Operator Comfort

The handlebar features two key adjustment positions which aid in accommodating a wide range of operator heights and preferences. A no-tool, 10-position up and down adjustment allows operators to quickly adjust for their height. A tooled fore / aft adjustment changes the angle of the handlebar. The forward position stands the handlebar more upright and shortens the length of the machine for maneuvering in tight areas and requires less operator input to turn. The rearward position allows for operators to adjust to the lowest possible position for comfort if needed.
